Membership & Pass Terms

1. About these terms

These terms cover the Serenity Saunas Off-Peak Membership and our session packs. They apply alongside our Sauna Rules and general Terms and Conditions of sauna use. By buying a membership or pack, you agree to them.

Who we are. Serenity Saunas runs wood-fired riverside saunas at World's End, Castleconnell, Co. Limerick and O'Brien's Bridge, Co. Clare. Contact: info@serenitysaunas.ie.

What these words mean:

• Session: one seat in a one-hour social sauna session.
• Off-peak: sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
• Peak: sessions on Sunday.
• Cycle: a 28-day period, starting on the day your membership is first paid.
• Credit: one session in a session pack.

What these terms cover:

Pay-as-you-go bookings (€15 off-peak, €20 Sunday) follow our general Terms and Conditions, not these.

2. Off-Peak Membership

1. What you get. Up to 10 off-peak sessions in each 28-day cycle, at either location.
2. Price and payment. The membership costs €99 per cycle. You pay the first cycle when you join, then €99 is taken automatically from your card every 28 days until you cancel.
3. Off-peak only. Membership sessions can only be booked on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday sessions are not included. Members can book Sundays at the normal pay-as-you-go price or with an Anytime pack.
4. Unused sessions. Sessions not used within a cycle expire at the end of that cycle. They do not carry over and are not refunded.
5. One person only. Your membership is for you alone. It can't be shared, transferred or used to book for a guest. We may ask for ID at check-in.
6. Booking. You book each session in advance through our online booking system, subject to availability. Membership does not guarantee a seat at any particular time.
7. Failed payments. We try to take each renewal payment once. If it fails, your membership is cancelled automatically and no further sessions can be booked. To reinstate it, contact us at info@serenitysaunas.ie. We can reinstate a membership once; after a second failed payment, you'll need to join again.
8. Price changes. We may change the membership price. We'll give you at least 28 days' notice by email before a new price applies to you, so you have time to cancel if you wish.

3. Cancelling, pausing and cooling-off

1. Cancelling. You can cancel your membership at any time, with no minimum term. Cancel through your booking account or by emailing info@serenitysaunas.ie at least 24 hours before your next renewal date.
2. When cancellation takes effect. Your membership runs to the end of the cycle you've paid for. You can keep booking until then. No further payments are taken, and there are no refunds for part-used cycles.
3. Pausing. Memberships can't be paused. If you need a break, cancel before your next renewal date and rejoin when you're ready.
4. 14-day cooling-off. If you join online, you have 14 days from the day you join to cancel and get a refund. If you use any sessions in those 14 days, we'll deduct the value of those sessions at the pay-as-you-go off-peak price before refunding the rest.

4. Session packs

1. Off-peak packs (5 or 10 credits) can be used on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday sessions only.
2. Anytime packs (5 or 10 credits) can be used on any session, Sundays included.
3. One credit, one seat. Each credit books one seat in one session.
4. Expiry. All packs, 5 or 10 credits, expire 6 months after purchase. Unused credits are lost on the expiry date and are not refunded.
5. Your pack, your seat. Credits belong to the person who bought the pack and can't be transferred or used to book for someone else. To treat a friend, buy a gift card.
6. No refunds once used. Packs are not refundable once any credit has been used, except as set out in the cooling-off terms below.
7. Cooling-off. If you buy a pack online, you can cancel within 14 days for a refund. Any credits you've used are deducted at the pay-as-you-go price for that day before refunding the rest.

5. Booking, late cancellation and no-shows

1. Book ahead. All sessions, for members and pack holders, must be booked in advance online. Bookings open 12 days before each session. Walk-ins are only possible if a seat is free.
2. Cancel in time. You can cancel a booking up to 12 hours before the session starts. Your session or credit is returned to your account.
3. Late cancellations and no-shows. If you cancel less than 12 hours before, or don't turn up, the session or credit counts as used.
4. Arrive on time. Please arrive 10 minutes before your session to sign in with the host. If you arrive late, your session still ends at the scheduled time.
5. Fair use. To keep seats available for everyone, we may limit repeated late cancellations or no-shows.

6. Closures, weather and changes to the timetable

1. Outdoor saunas. Our saunas are outdoors on the River Shannon. We may cancel or move sessions for storms, flooding, high river levels, equipment faults or other safety reasons.
2. If we cancel. We'll tell you as early as we can by email or text. Your session or credit goes back into your account. If a member loses sessions this way and can't rebook them within the cycle, we'll add them to the next cycle.
3. Longer closures. If we close for more than 7 days in a row, we'll push back members' next renewal date and the expiry date of session packs by the number of days we're closed.
4. Timetable changes. We may change session times, days or locations. Your membership or pack stays valid for the sessions we offer.

7. Health, conduct and the rest

1. Age. Members and pack holders must be 18 or over.
2. Your health. You use the sauna and the river at your own risk and must follow our Sauna Rules. If you're pregnant or have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, an open wound or any other medical condition, check with your doctor before joining. The River Shannon is open water and there is no lifeguard on duty. Entering the water is entirely at your own risk, and Serenity Saunas is not responsible for anyone who chooses to enter it. If you ask, our host can point out the safer places to get in.
3. Conduct. We may refuse entry, or end a membership or pack without refund, if someone breaks the Sauna Rules, puts others at risk, is abusive to staff or other guests, or arrives under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4. Ending a membership for other reasons. If we stop offering the membership, we'll give you at least 28 days' notice and refund any payment covering the period after it ends.
5. Your data. We use your name, contact details and booking history to run your membership and bookings. We don't sell your data. You can ask to see or delete it by emailing info@serenitysaunas.ie.
6. Your legal rights. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish law.
7. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. We'll email members at least 28 days before any change that affects them.
8. Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
